Every year we invite a female-identifying, esteemed professional in chemistry to speak about their career and their journey into chemistry. These seminars are held with the goal to not only recognize speakers' contributions to chemistry, but also to learn about how gender influences our experiences in science.

To connect with career chemists, we invite our members for a behind-the-scenes tour of pharmaceutical, biotech, start-up, and other companies in the Los Angeles area. The tours also often include Q&A panels and casual discussion with company employees.
2025: Protomer Technologies, Pasadena, CA
WIC engages in a variety of outreach events including providing tours to local high school and undergraduate students as well as our annual Spring into STEM event with Girl Scout troops.
To create opportunities for CCE members to meet each other and make closer connections between labs we host social events at breweries and our annual "Galentine's Day" wine and friendship bracelet making event.
Throughout the year we also hold various additional events such as lunches with faculty, coffee hours and dinners with speakers, and networking events.
